I take it the police didn't arrest the farmer for trying to stop the filming of ILLEGAL Fox hunting by committing assault with a deadly weapon.

Didn't think so.

It wouldn't have surprised me!

I think they have - or are at least investigating.

Meanwhile the farmer has a 'crowdfunder' set up to help with his legal fees...

Anyhoo, what about the two lovely lads near the end of the clip? Quality...

A police spokeswoman said: “Officers are investigating an allegation of assault after a man sustained minor injuries in Ratcliffe Culey, Leicestershire, at the weekend. “A report was made at 12.31pm on Saturday, October 14, which related to the victim having sustained an injury as a result of being involved in a collision with a quad bike.

So no arrest yet. :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Had it been the other way around, the court case would have happened and they would be locked up.

The only real questions.

Was it clear it was private land?

Reasonable request to leave?

Was it clear it wss private land.

Doesnt matter, no such law as tresspass in England and Wales, its a civel matter.

Reasonable request to leave.

Youve seen the video, whats your take on that???
My take is, it wasn't, it was out and out threats of violence from the second he arrived.

There are lots of lanes in my area that are not apparant whether it is private land. So trespass could be difficult to establish, and therefore a reasonable request to leave would be appropriate.

It didnt look reasonable to me. It looked threatening and intimidating, if not actual violence.

It's hard to interpret it any other way - the farmer turns up and throws his first punch within a few seconds.

Anyhoo, what about the delightful duo at 3 minutes?

A very nice pair.

And those who support and agree with them, would fall into the same category.

And the two types of folk I was referring to are not the two sides in that incident - the farmer and the sabs - but the folk who post on the likes of YouTube afterwards.

Typical example: (If you go to the actual page and read the comments)

Although trespass in itself would normally be considered a civil matter, these saboteurs most definitely fall into the category of aggravated trespass, which is a criminal offence.
I think the 'over the top' behaviour of the farmer suggests there's a bit of history between himself and these, or other shirkers.
