hi, hope someone with underfloor insulation/cavity wall experience can help.
We are fitting the insulation now, but noticed that the floor joists next to walls are about a 1 inch away leaving a gap.
Should I leave this gap or fill it with insulation?
I think the cold air will just go up into the room above through here, but not sure if I need to leave it for air flow into wall cavity.
    Thx

Shouldn't need tpo leave any gap for air flow into cavity.

    Post a photo.

  3. I know exactly what you mean Shamone. I fill those gaps.

Not down there today so can't get photo I'm afraid. Sounds like there's no problem with filling these gaps though from what you've both said.
    Thanks!
