Well , used to like him. Shakespearean thespian, star of STTNG, X Men etc, But now he's calling for a second referendum on Brexit,,, Guess where he bloody lives ? (still love his character in American Dad though)
Yes I read that article today. The bit that stunned me, really stunned me was when he said that one of the happiest day of his entire life, was 1st jan 1973 when we joined the eec. Not his wedding day, not the birth of his children, but joining the EEC. Wow, what a guy.
What really gets to me is the fact that he lives in Brooklyn. If he's so proud of being British, the least thing he could do is bloody live in the UK (probably saves a few dollars in tax though, so that (in his mind) makes it alright. Wonder if he'll return to the UK when he develops some health condition the US want him to pay for treatment?
Why is it unpatriotic not to live in the country of your birth and your citizenship? Surely you would support him paying tax in the country of his residence.
he didnt actually say he was asking for another brexit vote it was a vote on whether we like the outcome off the negotiations yes his personal preferences may be to stay in but that wasn't the subject when you have such a weak government as we have they need someone to hold there goolies to the fire
Quite funny the tiz that some will get themselves in to following the comments of an actor. JJ claims he used to admire him, but no longer since he calls for a democratic vote... How dare he. Filly was 'stunned' by Stewart's claim of what his happiest day was. Bemused, I could accept. Laughable, definitely. But 'stunned'? Cripes. Patrick Stewart is an arris. But I approve of his call
Same as Sean Connery.....wants an independent Scotland.........whilst living in the tax haven Bahamas....for years. RS
