UVPC Bottom Hooks Sticking

    Hi all,

We have a summer/warmer weather issue of the bottom of our front door basically not disengaging (if that's the right word) when unlocked. This is incredibly intermittent but think it's been brought on by the hot weather possibly?

The images (forgive the inherited paint job) show the hooks when completely engaged (1st) when the handle is lifted, the top hooks disengaged fully when the handles pulled down (3rd) and then what the bottom two hooks do (2nd) - protude very slightly even when the handle is completely down. I think it's this that is sticking and causing me to be unable to open the door.

Does anyone have any advice as to whether this is something I can fix myself, or requires an expert hand? TIA!
