Vote today!

Just a reminder, if you need it, if you are able, get out and vote for someone today. It doesn't matter who you vote for, just that those who are able, exercise their democratic right to choose who governs and taxes them for the next few years. Apathy leads to the formation of extremist groups who, if elected will seek to reduce our individual input into the selection of our leaders.

We do not have a vote for the selection of all our leaders. We vote for the MP'S but that is all. We have an unelected head of state and his family, plus the unelected house of Lords.
Until we have an elected head of state and an elected second house, we will never be a democracy.

I agree that Royalty is a ticket for freeloaders to ride the gravy train, however, since the Parliamentarians removed the head of Charlie I, and after the interregnum, the crown has no statutory political power, it is only a showpiece. Our current version of democracy is imperfect, but better than China or Russia to name only a few. It is up to us and our successors to make the effort to correct the imperfections in the system, by voting and taking an active part in Politics.

I will not be voting as it doesn’t make any difference to who you vote for. They are all out for themselves and to make us pay for their privilege

They get themselves exempt from any laws that they do not like, that is going to adversely affect them in some way. They have got themselves exempt from the freedom of information act, to hide from us what they are up to. They also illegally practice religious discrimination.

Time to get rid of them and have an elected president with no actual powers, like Ireland, who can be voted out.

Or the USA who can do as he wishes with impunity, what a democracy:)
Ah well, it will soon all be done for another 5 years and we can settle back to a force fed diet of Football, Tennis and the Olympics, which by chance I will be out of the country.

I keep reading that it doesn't matter who you vote for because they are all untrustworthy, and wonder..do they realise that everyone then knows they are Conservatives?:)

Considering the state of Royal Mail , It’s a miracle you got your postal vote ! It will be a double miracle if it gets back to the voting station
