image.jpeg Hi, how best can I fill the end panel of my wardrobe?
We had to undo drilling the side to the wall as that left a wide gap on the left side of the door!

    Suggestions please???

Possibly a length of quadrant moulding, or similar, just to cloak off the varying gap?

First off, let's not panic, it's hardly a structural crack is it? Judging by the skirting quirk thickness it's not more than 1/4inch deep, as Joiner John says either glue or pin a small moulding or beading up the side, or fill with decorators caulk and try to match the paint colour to the doors.

    Gun it in.

No, no cracks or anything of such. The wall itself is only slightly off towards the bottom. It's half an inch at it's widest point I believe.
Ok, so where can I buy this moulding/beading from please???

P.S. Thanks for your suggestions so far.

Any woodyard or BQ, Wickes, etc will sell a range of timber mouldings, beads in various designs and sizes. They have a seperate display rack with all the mouldings in. A 'glass bead' would look good for example .

Just pop into ur nearest supplier and take a look. Pin and/or glue to cover gap and paint to match wall or wardrobe

Could just caulk but gap near skirt looks a bit wider so will take a few seperate pumps of caulk as will shrink back with single application

Easily rectified though with basic DIY skills - good luck

Something like CT1 would probably fill it ok without it shrinking back. Can then paint it the same colour as the wall and won't 'disturb' the vertical line of the end panel.

Thanks guys! I'll be painting to match wall for sure.
I would prefer a very fine plastic cover so it's less visible and conceals itself against the wall.
I'll update you with the finished product, thanks.

You can get plastic quadrant beading in the laminate floor department also.

Don't think quadrant is going to look any good, as there is still going to be visible, to the bottom the gap gets bigger.

thinking of using this maybe get a wider one the once set trim flush with a knife. could fill gap prior for extra support.

    Hmmmm, how durable is this?
And yes, I could fill gap. I'm assuming these can be painted?

If your planning on painting whatever you use to cover gap then don't go for plastic - ur gonna need speacialist primer and the expense isn't worth it for a 1 off piece of trim

You could have had job done by now in all seriousness :)

If you are going down this route buy it from Travis. They have it down as a clearance item online for only £2.40 inc. VAT.

Yes, extremely cheap in comparison to Screwfix!
Can this be painted as my walls aren't white but off white (Dulux Timeless)?

The EBT isn't overpaintable. Something like this is: http://www.screwfix.com/p/no-nonsense-anti-crack-acrylic-white-310ml/39705

If twere me I'd be trying to match the paint colour to the wardrobe rather than the wall. If you paint it the same colour as the wall it will be more visible than if you paint it the same colour as the wardrobe. A tester pot or two would likely be enough paint.
