Trying to connect a brand new washing machine but have a little bit of water leaking out every time. Would this be a tightness issue? Everything else seems ok. Thanks

Assuming the washers are ok, it's likely to be the plastic splitter. Replacing it with a good quality brass one should do the job.

Guess that's outside and temporary vs left on 24 7.
Thats a plastic hose pipe setup vs washing machine fitting imo.

As above that's a cheap garden hose fitting, they always drip. You need a proper w/m valve, available everywhere

Leaks on these fittings can often be due to overtightening. Assuming the washer is good, it should just nip up by hand. It's tempting to use some form of wrench/pliers to tighten it but it is more likely to leak. Speaking from experience.

A problem you can get with these, and indeed with many "proper" washing machine valves, is that the plastic on/off handles are too long, and stop the securing nuts doing up tightly. Two cures: Add an extra 3/4" washer inside the cap, or cut a bit off the handle.

What are the separate feeds for??? Not both for the washing machine???

    Guessing dishwasher?
