    Hi Guys,
I'm a plumber and have got a customer with a small amount of water damage to a ceiling from bathroom above. Typical yellow mark. Ceiling is lath and plaster but is ok.

What is the best way to over paint this, or is this not
possible? Do I need to get a pro in - don't mind doing a bit of painting as part of the repair but if it turns out to be lots of painting I'll get someone in. Area is about 2m x 4m.
    Thanks.

Just apply a coat of oil based primer/undercoat to the stained area, and emulsion the entire ceiling.

    Potty.

    Cheers m8, nice one.
I've got a builder who is a bit light this week so that'll do him nicely.
    Many thanks.

Potty is spot on. Once the undercoat is dry, i paint that area first with a roller, then leave to dry, and then paint the whole ceiling. That way the undercoat gets at least two coats of emulsion.
