hi all whats the rule of thumb for sizing a loft water storage tank?? (ie how big?) the house is 4 beds and the cylinder is going to be about 180L R
Its based on the water usage and depends on the number of people and the number of water outlets and the refill rate. Its quite involved if its done properly! Why not take a plumbing NVQ2 or 3 if you want to learn? Tony
no time + if i show even a passing interest in training on this forum i'll have 30 or so critical posts to read. so... 2 adults, 2 kids, one bath , 2 power showers both with 1bar impeller, 1 kit, .. any ideas R
a 180ltr HWC and 2 p/showers need a large supply.. I would advise fit a 50gal CWS combined with a 25 gal CWS connect them together close to the base using 28mm copper tube and brass tank connectors
so is the storage is always bigger than cylinder? no Its based on the water usage and depends on the number of people and the number of water outlets and the refill rate.
so is the storage is always bigger than cylinder? no Its based on the water usage and depends on the number of people and the number of water outlets and the refill rate. In some old older towns and cities, where the water mains have not be fully upgraded, they still insist on far more cold water storage than what is in the cylinder, as the refill rate is poor. More cold water storage reduces stress on the local underground water system. Best check. They tend to go on house size, rather than people in the house.
