    Hello,

Please could somebody shed some light on what these two tools are (photos attached)?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks

Second photo, tool has a scale marked on it, but not clear enough to fully read it, height gauge of some kind I would say..

Probably a makers name on it somewhere.

Always interesting to see odd tools my guess is the second one could be part of a drill press without the drill fitted.

What happens when you turn the wheel on the first one?

One on the right looks like a high precision farm jack

The plate will go up and down, but why?

That's what I figured, it looks like something bolts onto the plate.

Many thanks for all of your replies so far - looks like photo2 could potentially be a drill press.

Please see a few more photos attached.

    Many thanks

Don't think 2 is a drill press, graduations rule that out.

ON image 3 it says Diameters of Enlargement - is it connected with copier/follower of some sort?

Or even a photo enlarger support, although it is a bit industrial looking.

    That's looking plausible.

Depending on overall dimensions, I remember seeing similar "jig" for cutting sash window joints

Those marking look a bit home made in the fact they are not very well marked out.
