    Hi all

I’ve been sorting out the loft recently. Wondering what this is. Thought initially it was some sort of weird support but on closer inspection it use a brown sleeved cable going through the middle and is only tied to the loft beams with string? An old school aerial!?

    thanks

Old 405 VHF or VHF 88-108 MHz aerial, so pre 1976.
As we moved over to 625 lines in 1976,so different aerials were required.

Could well be one similar to that used by the Krogers in Cranley Drive Ruislip - transmitting our state secrets back to Moscow.
