I'm in the process of building a large shed in the garden. I will be running armoured cable from the house consumer unit to a garage style unit in the shed to run the lights and sockets.

Whats the correct sized cable to use, I have been told 2.5mm twin and earth? Want to get everything ready for when I arrange the sparky to connect up.

If your using a sparky - let him sort it.

One minute you say armoured, and then T+E?

Not sure on your question really.

What is the cable route distance from the CU in the house to the Shed?

What equipment do you intend to run in the shed and how many lights?
