I've got some 6mm hardibacker to go down on a wooden floor. The hardibacker website suggests a 6mm notched tile for spreading the adhesive below the board. I would have thought this may be a little small so wanted to check with others what is used for aquapanel / hardibacker etx.

Also I am laying 600 x 400 limestone tiles on the floor, what type of trowel should I go for? Many thanks,A.

6mm is fine for the boards for the floor, use a thick bed solid bed trowel or the giant version as it's a very large tile, expect to bed out the tiles quite a bit and carefully use a rubber mallet to set in position
