Hi! I need to find a wire (preferrably stainless) that is 1.0mm or less thick but that can be bent into shape doesn't bend out of shape easily (i.e. with knocks etc). Normal training wire / garden wire is just too flexible. Any ideas? Many thanks!
Bike shops used to have cable(type used for gear levers/brakes etc. Dunno if they still do. Can be shaped, and should remain straight unless severely kinked. Mr. Handyandy - really
Come on, give us a clue what you need it for. Without knowing, I would go with the suggestion of MIG welding wire, but possibly stainless locking wire might do, although this might be too small diameter.
Monel seizing wire for yacht rigging should do the trick. It is 0.9mm dia. It is used to prevent shackles etc coming undone and does not rust. Looks similar to stainless. www.force4.co.uk/ProductDetails/mcs/productID/3144
