IWS: It Was Super Visted the nearby village of Mochos (up in the hills). Traditional Greek Village with a few tavernas in the square. Walked up there a couple of times. Its only a 10K walk but a hell of a climb !! IWS: Information With a Smile

What are you on about - I never mentioned Stalis. Just Crete. You actually recommended Elounda, which is only about 30 minutes drive away from Stalida. As I got a late booking I was tied to what was available, but it was a good choice. Malia was about 4 four miles away - this is like San Antonio, and full of lager drinking, Cig faced Brits. I dont mind the occasional binge but not like those nutters. Where we stayed, Nana Beach, it was very cosmopolitan, with friendly Germans, Dutch, Swedes, and of course me.
