The ordinary universal hoses don't connect to this gas cooker. It seems to need a female connection to the cooker end. I'm not doing this job myself but I want to buy the right pipe for when I next have the gas repair annual service. Thanks

The thing is that they said on the phone that they might connect the pipe as a side job while he is there to do the other job. So I need to have everything ready.

That is a very odd connection some kind of foreign one, I would have severe doubts that it is designed or rated for the UK market and gas supply.

Is the gas cooker pre owned ? Installation will be mentioned in installation/service instructions.

Looks like a 1/2" brass Cooker Inlet Adaptor and a sealing washer is required. Then the usual hose can be fitted to the back of the cooker. The installer will know :)
