    Hi Guys,

Normally when tiling I place a tile at the bottom, draw a pencil line at the top, take away the tile, then run a baton along the line and tile up from there.

My dillema, is that I'm putting a black 'skirting; tile at the bottom, a mosaic border, then tiles inbetween.

Should I batton for the border tiles first?

Do I place a baton above the 'skirting tiles'?

Really unsure about which order to do it in. Any advice would be much appreciated.

My predicament is shown here: -

you will need two battens .the first at the bottom, the second for thetop line of mosiacs.i would put in the black tiles afterwards just in case there is any uneveness in the floor .work up from the bottom with main tile and fill in th mosiacs and black tile afterwards

One batton top edge of skirting and one top edge of border, put big tiles on then slot mosaics in and then skirtings on (check floor levels though first)to make sure for your skirtings
