Are there any no-no's with regard to choice of silicone for worktop joins, sink cut-outs etc. High or low modulus? Acetoxy or neutral cure? Or will any old silicone do?

  2. I tend to use Dow Corning 584, atleast I think thats the ref no.

Any good quality silicon will do, acetoxy.

I tend to use any old tube ends up on cutouts and cut edges.

On cutouts I would use Colorfil on speckled patterns, it helps the joint disappear, otherwise a thin application of clear or if I can get it translucent silicon.

Some recommend using PVA on joints, I think it personal choice, try both methods and see which one you get on with.
