who owns which companies and which companies actually make what tools at present.
Black and Decker, DeWalt, Elu and possibly Trend routers.
Trend with the T5 seem to have the old ELU model, is Elu now taken over by DeWalt and do Black and Decker own DeWalt, do B&D in some guise make Trend routers.
B&Q, Screwfix, Argos do these all come under one parent company.Mmmmmm?

B&D and DeWalt are in the same bed. Kingfisher group own B&Q who own Screwfix. Argos own Homebase. The list goes on...Its just like the motor trade, with the big players owning all the little ones...Ford own Mazda, Volvo, Land Rover, Aston Martin, Jaguar..Ford use Peugeot diesel engines in some of their range...which leads us onto the PSA alliance..I'm boring myself now! :)

I bought a Perles router a few years ago.
On enquiring about extras I was pointed towards Trend as according to Perles they make the T5 for Trend & sell the identical model with their own badge for a lot less.
