Wire fencing ruining tree

    There is tree near where I live and the closed link fencing has gotten caught in the trunk. Must of been like this a for a few years for this to happen. Tied to free it but hard to get it out, without cutting some of the branch/trunk out.

    Not my tree, but is on a public footpath, council wont be interested in this area as it tends to get overgrown.

    The tree is a common hawthorn. Another tree fuhrer along the path has barbwire right through the center of trunk.

    Very right wing those hawthorns ;);)

    Not sure they're right wing. Looks like they're sitting on the fence to me.
