I have led strips with transformer plugs which I need to connect to the lighting circuit so the light switch can control them. Is it ok if I add a 13A sockets above each cabinet to plug transformer plugs into?

Not good practice. Get power supplies which are not on the back of a plug and wire them in.

unfortunately a lot of LED products come with transformer plugs with no alternative. I am installing IKEA wardrobe led strips and Govee strips.

Of course there is an alternative. Either buy products with the correct power supplies or buy an after market power supply.

Why do you always want to add layers of complexity to solve such simple problems?

What’s complicated about buying a power supply?

Buying a new power supply won't solve his problem. He still has to plug it in to make it work. IF he can find the right power supply.

A power supply with wire ends connected to a junction box. What is difficult about that? I thought you were a sparks, I’m obviously mistaken.

HE's already got a power supply. One that works perfectly well. With his lights. All he has to do is plug them in. As opposed to replacing it with one that wires into a jb. I don't work as a spark, I've never made a secret of it. So yes you are mistaken. Obviously.

That’s your subjective view, not a Reg requirement. What OP is proposing is acceptable.
