Wiring 13A socket on lighting circuit

Actually why don't you just go and re-read everything I've posted and save everyone a lot of hassle and grief. I've already answered this.
I have no need as you have contradicted yourself yet again.

Why dont they just block each other and save us having to read the drivel. It's time consuming and has been pointless for as long as i can remember.

I quite enjoy reading hassle and grief on this forum. It's similar to Mills and Boon with @Coloumb being the mysterious handsome devil-may-care-cavalier.

Well it could be worse, he could be a devil may care cavalier in a bright orange harness ! I say that in a light hearted way.

It seems no one has actually come up with a dedicated 'wall socket' for lighting use only that ordinary people can use, there are some round pin ones knocking around but you can't fit the plugs that come on lighting supplies into the them so to me the simplest and safest method is to fit an outlet as outlined to the standards described in the regs, using best practice and common sense, ah, common sense, that thing we must reply on when the regs can be interpreted in different ways, in other words, unless the regs clearly state an outlet < type> complying to <BS whatever> must be used and manufactures supply a plug to match that is user friendly we must use what seems to the most sensible option available to us.

The other option is to supply the power supply with a cable that can be installed, but they hardly do that for off the shelf lighting.
