Hello. i Am having a bit of a headache about an alarm box I am changing. I have got everything working except two pirs that are connected together and on different zones. The pirĀ sensors have six terminals+ - nc nc tamp tamp and the cable is 6 core. The cable comes from the panel to the first pir then links to the next . I understand ( could be wrong) that the +- needs to be wired in parellel and the tamper and alarm contacts need to be wired in series. I realise this is simple and commonly done but I am having a brain freeze. Can anyone explain in laymens terms please. The alarm is optima/accenta with led keypad
Hi Tintin, You are correct that the supply to the PIR's are in parallel and the detection and tamper goes in series but this is for things on the same Zone mate. Let me know if you need a diagram to help. Cheers Fats
Hiya, Not the clearest of diagrams, but n/c is normally closed - the alarm trigger, TA - Tamper Hope this helps. Fats
could i get a copy the diagram pls as i want add a second pir to the same zone the existing one is on
