Wood fibre board underlay.. Tape? If so, which tape?

I am about to lay some laminate flooring for the first time over wooden loft boards. I have 8mm laminate and 5mm wood fibre board underlay.

After laying the underlay down, do I need to tape the pieces together?

If so, would I need special vapour barrier tape or will regular masking tape or gaffer tape do?

Quite a few different opinions out there, just need some clarification!

    Regular gaffer tape will do.

Ace, thank you. I have some of that somewhere, so no need to go hunting for vapour tape. Cheers!

Would regular masking tape be ok to use as well?
