Hi all. Installed a new one about 6 weeks ago. The downstairs rads dont heat up but were fine on the commission. The downstairs rads are all drops. The old system was a back boiler and the system has been flushed. 3 bed house with 8 rads. Thanks Jim
Have you tried bleeding it? If so and it's definately got water in, try turning the other rads off to see if it gets hot. If it does get hot then you can eliminate a blockage or dodgy valve. HTH PTFE
Hi Forgotto mention all the rads were bled,I have instructed the user to turn off the upstairs rads, he said he has and Ive no reason to doubt him. I,M thinking air lock. All new TRVs also. Cheers
hi,did u connect to original flow & return from back boiler?if u did some old systems had a non return valve on the flow pipework which would resrict the flow(ive had this prob myself),remove valve. spo.
Cheers Spo Very little left of the original pipework. No non return valve. My gut is saying air lock. Jim
Air lock. If you have drain offs on the rads: - close one rad valve and pull a load of water through - open and close other valve, do same - bleed rad
