I'm replacing a 12mm or so composite/laminate worktop which butts up tight to the range both sides with a 38mm laminated chipboard. Should I leave a gap? And should I laminate the ends or use aluminium end strips? Thanks

Butt right up and laminate the ends........... No gaps, no strips............. unless the wife is in a good mood, Lol. :)
