    Hello,

I went to Tile Shed today as instructed by my tiler to get some 6mm no more ply and was given XL Dukkaboard which they say is the same.

Have any of you professional tilers used or heard of it.

Thanks in advance for any info.

    It's a cement fibre board,never used it.

Strange product,as you can make Dukkaboard XL Tile Backer Boards completely waterproof, coat the completed surface with two coats of Dukkaboard XL Primer, diluted 1:3 with water, similat to No More Ply, which can be primed with SBR to acheive same result.

Think I'll stick to my Hardie Backer board

Why would you stick with Hardie out of interest?

I know it use to be 100 kg/m², but looking at brochure I have here, it's listed as 200 kg/m², could be a typo.:)

And looking here,it also now says 200 kg/m².

Only ever use it on floors, prefer lightweight boards on walls such as Wedi etc as these don’t need fully tanking only the joints.
