A word of warning about the Yardmaster self assembly sheds. The instructions are disgustingly poor and look like a minefield. Have not erected shed yet but the literally hundreds of screws ,nuts, washers and angle iron are very daunting.
hello bazza, and gill. if you want help with that, where are you? we would charge £25. an hour to assemble that mother for you, lets say approx 4 hours plus VAT
Agreed the instructions are not the most helpful. Put one up in April, took two of us about 6 hours, and I'd like to think we're fairly competent. Having done one shed, then the next would be infinitely easier - wouldn't make the same mistakes again. Sort out all the parts first, work out which bit are door, wall, roof panels, and the same for all the angle iron. We pre-built the doors main ridge truss the previous evening. The 'pictures only' approach doesn't say whether you should put in all the screws, or just those shown in the pictures; Or whether it's make 'one of these' or assemble two (or more). Sometime trial and (lots of errors) is involved. One main complaint is there appears to be a major design fault with the sliding door arrangement - it isn't watertight at the bottom. I sealed the outside of the shed all around with a 5cm x 5cm cement skew (including across the front of the door channel, doh!) Water that runs down the door, drops into the sliding channel, which is then INSIDE the outer seal, so the water has to drain inside, rather than out, and the shed floor got wet. Solved this by cutting the shed base rail and screwing this to the concrete base about 5cm inside the shed, putting a mastic seal all around it, and up to the main base rail (also screwed down). The door threshold is then reversed (outside to in), and the door channel slide guides put back. So far, no more wet shed floor. Have fun !
