Sorry Mate to be a pain, but I need suggestions for a bathroom floor (Sorry, I'm in Weymouth, so can't employ you to do it.) The "Boss" says we need a new floor in the bathroom & in this instance, I must agree with her.The floor is boards, so would need sheeting with ply. I don't like tiles, as they are too slippery/cold, so what other options have I? All suggestions gratefully received. Thanks in advance, Malkie.

Evening, depends what she would like, i would go with a good vinyl of some description though.
There are lots of cracking sheet vinyls, rhino, leolan, domo etc but if you would rather the "designer" luxury vinyl tile/strip floor i would suggest polyflor as the best option over karndene/amtico.
Much better priced and top quality without the snob value of the other two.
We do polyflor, mnt favourites (best value) would be camaro and beveline.

Also, forget these kn ackers telling you it's a top specialist job to fit, it's a good diy project that anyone with a bit of patience, a sharp knife and the ability to measure accurately can produce a good job.

We are doing the camaro for about £16m2 at the min.
You can get the feature strips cheap and make a cracking design without the expense of the borders.
If you do 2 srtips around the perimiter (straight) and do stepped corners instead of mitred, then a feature strip and fit the main body diagonal it looks mint.
Takes a bit of time nut the effect is well worth it.

how thick is the polyflor strip 2.5mm

there are 2 different thicknesses, camaro is 2.5mm, expona 3mm, there are half a dozzen diffent ranges.
The feature strips are just plastic strips 5mm, 10mm or 25mm wide, you fit them between the strips to build whatever design you like.
About £25 for a pack of 50x5mm strips, £30 for the 15mm and £30 for the 25mm (but you only get 25 of the 25mm ones in a pack)
If you do wood design and break every row with a 5mm strip it looks great..........takes ages though :)

it's a bu gger in the cold, you spend more time watching it dry than fitting!
