I work in a commercial swimming pool. We have needed to have some patch work carried out to the tiling.

The total area redone is approximately 10m2.

I'm not going to tell you at this stage what they are charging us, I'll leave that to you to have a guess!!

I think my Grandmother could have done a better job blindfolded!!

    That is absoulutely disgusting !

It's hard to think what's going through their minds as they do the job, sort of reminds me of X factor where the completely talentless actually think they are good singers

I don't want to know the price, if it was over £0.75 you've been had

Nah, you're taking the p!ss surely! What's that, you're not? You're serious? Someone did that and got paid for it? Unbelievable!

I'd reckon on, being a commercial place, £300+ because they figured they'd get away with it.

Okay, I'll give you a bit more of an insight.

We drained the pool at the beginning of November. Work started approx 1 week later. They stopped for a couple of weeks then started again and finished today.

During the job there have been anything between 3 and 6 guys working.

Unfortunately it is out of my jurisdiction if they get paid or not.

Sorry Mr Tryin it all, you are nowhere near!!

Sorry guys, people like this are letting you and the trade down.
    Especially when they charge:

    £18K

  14. your photo link doesn't work old bud!

  15. So what have they actually done for £18K, just that patch in the pool?

If that's it, then someone there knows someone in the building firm if you catch my drift.

And yes Mudster, I do know what you mean!!

  19. Well for £18K I'd have expected them to patch it whilst still full of water. Don't laugh, it is possible....read it on the Ardex website:)
