We have a client that is complaining of 'bits' in the Hot water out of an 8 month old Zip Hydroboil unit.

Due to it being installed in a 'Hard Water' area I'm assuming it's scale build up?

What would the best course of action be to stop this happening?

you could try fitting an electronic descaling device onto the rising main

there are loads of 'em around.

These are nothing but trouble. The amount of call backs we`ve have because of these , normally due to the chilled water side. Because its only 8 months old get zip to send a bloke round because its still underr warrenty ( normally 2 years ).

This hasn't got a 'Chilled Water side'?

It's just ambient cold feed in and boiling out on a red pull spring lever!

    A Kettle replacement basically.

Are you talking about another type or model?

Its one of their cheaper models then. Like i said its still under warrenty and its proberly an internal fault so it would be best to phone zip.
