Looking at trying to sort our drafty windows if possible.
They are tight at the top of the frame but at the bottom the gap is about 1cm from the frame.
Tried to show it in the pictures.
It's on both the left and right hand side panels of the window oddly and in exactly the same place so maybe they were installed incorrectly?

All the rubber seal on the external side of the windows has pretty much perished too but even if I replace all of that it's not going to bridge that gap between the bottom of the window or the frame.

I've sprayed it all with WD40 to loosen it all up but hasn't improved it at all

Any idea how to improve it?
Any help would be gratefully appreciated!

One possibility is that they weren't installed correctly. Another issue might be the rubber seals, which seem worn out.

Replacing the rubber seals could help, but it might not fix the gap at the bottom of the window. You could try adding some insulation or weather-stripping to the bottom of the window frame to fill the gap. Also, consider checking if there are any gaps or cracks in the window frame that need sealing.

You might want to consult a professional for the best solution. You can also find more information about PVCU sliding sash windows here: Quickslide PVCU Sliding Sash Windows
