Advice on Best Water Based Woodstain for External Hardwood Door

Hi,

Any advice is appreciated on what is the best woodstain for a new oak veneer door I am going to fit (between kitchen and garage).

I want to achieve a medium oak type of colour and be able to see the grain.

There seems to be a massive price difference between products like Ronseal Exterior 5 Year Woodstain and Sikkens (which I believe only come in large tins, far too big for just one door).

There are, of course, good and bad reviews for all products so I am a bit lost as to what to go for!
