Armstead trade contract matt paint stiaght on or water down

You normally water down any matt paint for a mist coat on new plaster.

Even in linky below,under Technical Info, they recommend thinning paint ,Add up to 1 part clean water to 5 parts paint for new plaster.

Used this paint for my mist coating.

Went for a 50/50 mix.

Also used it on the ceilings and have been impressed with the finish.

For the top coats on the ceiling, I just added a few splashes of water.

 

For a mist coat I would go 60-40 paint to water.

 

All depends on the quialty of the paint being used, 50/50, 60/40, I even done close 70/30.
