    Hi Everyone,

I have attached some pictures showing some white fluffy type insulation I have in my loft, I'm a bit of a worrier to say the least and have sent a sample away for testing but just wondered if anyone recognises this as being asbestos?

    Thanks
    Scott

It looks like fibre glass insulation,

It looks like either fibreglass or polyester wadding from inside an old duvet.

Any idea how old it is - how old is the house?

Hi thanks for the replies, the house was build in the 1960's, I have had the test results back and there was no asbestos found, no you mention it does look quite like wadding from inside a pillow.

If you do replace the insulatio or top it up maker sure that you don't block the through eaves ventilation, which it is currently doing now.
