Attach posts to existing concrete slab?

I'm completely new to most of this, but I have a concrete slab that used to have an old shed and I wish to build a new wooden one. How exactly do I attach the wood posts to the concrete, or would I put them in the ground directly next to it? The slab is perfectly level though the ground around it is sloped. From the front end of the slab, I measured that it's around 6" thick.

Sheds usually just simply 'sit' on the slab without fixings and their weight and footprint keep them in place

Was the old shed fixed to the slab or have you been watching 'The Wizard of Oz' lately :)

It was an old metal shed that sat on it. The wind eventually blew the roof off and I wanted to build a new one. Good to know that I don't need to specifically attach it to the concrete. Definitely makes planning a bit easier
