    I was wondering if any one out there can give me some guidance on the following

    I need to create a concrete base for a hot tub

    Dimensions are

    Depth = 6" (15 cm)
    Length = 124" (315cm)
    Width = 92" (234cm)

    what would be the best way to do this - and what materials would I need

    You will need approx 1.1M3 of concrete C30 grade, if you don't have a mixer, I would consider getting in a company that mix the amount you need off the back of a lorry and charge for the amount mixed.

    On a slab that size, I would fit a sheet of A142 mesh in the middle of the slab to stop it cracking.

    Thanks Phil the Paver

    Would I need to but a hardcore based down first before pouring the concrete

    Not if the soil is firm, I would put a plastic membrane down first, to stop damp coming up through the slab under the hot tub.
