Bath waste size?

    forum search not working so i'll ask,customer supplied bath waste kit but trap won't fit it must be a foreign waste.Does it mean getting another one,thanks.

    yes i know,but the 1"1/2 bath waste won't fit on the 1"1/2 trap(the lip on ther trap won't go inside the waste)

    have had this a few times.is the waste outlet of the trap mechanical or glued?

    you can buy adapters for this, the waste is european and the adapter takes it to 1 1/2,normally used on kitchen sink wastes

    I had same problem with a bathstore wash basin trap, it was italian waste trap, swapped it for plumb centre one and problem solved!
