Bathroom Door Locks

Do bathroom door locking handle require a mortise lock or can you still get replacement handles where the turn lock merely stops the handle from opening the door?

 

It is a replacement. Chose Cadenza handles from Screwfix but read that they need a mortice lock. I would rather not need to fit a mortice.

 

So how does one know which is which? Some mention that they can be used with a normal bathroom lock but that seems to be a mortice.
