Certainly the CPSs (cowboys in polo shirts) are poorly trained & lead by the nose by laptops. So the BG customers are paying over the odds for a very poor service.

What amazes me about the article, is why the guy with the cylinder got British Gas to do it after they upset him so much. Surely the T+Cs don't stipulate they have to do all the work.
