    I have a 90m2 area of driveway/patio.
I have had quotes for both block paving and patterned concrete, and they both come in at similar'ish prices.
Block quotes range from £3500 to $5000.
    Concrete ranges £4400 to £6000.
What are the pros and cons? All the companies can talk a good talk, and rubbish each other.
Both methods look good in the portfolios, and jobs I have been to look at. But I really would appreciate some good honest advice.
Be as open as you like, I really am 50/50 undecided.

PS. Drainage and services are not an issue on this area of driveway.

imprinted paving requires a very good sub base and planned crack control joints.

    Have a look at www.pavingexpert.com

Block Paving is the way to go...

Block Paving is a piece of pisss to repair, imprint is a bastar d to fix and is likely to crack..

I know what I would have

Block paving looks like block paving.
Imprinted concrete tries to look like block paving but realy does look just like imprinted concrete.

Block paving will get weeds, grass and moss growing in the joints.

    Concrete won't but may crack.

Any damage to block can be easily repaired, eg oil leak but can't with concrete. You can buy a treatment to coat the block paving to help with stains and stuff.

I think the concrete can weather quiet badly and look dull and naff over time.
