Hi, I was suppose to have a I beam with plate welded on the top, but the wall has been removed and its difficult to get the outer wall the same as inner as there is a porch roof in the way, it needs to go this height due to stairs head room.
So my question is can I get an I beam to support inner and that has an extended bottom flange on 1 side? Or is this a no go because it's not on top of the beam?

    Thanks

  2. Not trying to be rude, but looking at your other threads and this thread, I think that you are out of your depth on this job.
Get someone in who knows what they are doing before there is a disaster and someone gets hurt.
