Hi. I'm struggling to find this part anywhere. It's for a quarter turn kitchen tap and fits to the spline with a brass screw to hold it in place. As you can see I've over tightened and split it. (The tap lever housing with a square recess slides over it and is held in place by a grub screw as you can see from the picture) Help appreciated, Phil
It's a tap head carrier spline, but I can't find one. Try Lunns they might help. http://www.shop.lunns.net/head-carriers-for-tap-handles-49-c.asp
And I can find these, but not your part. http://www.plumbers-mate-sales.co.u...apter-with-square-head----62003635-3222-p.asp
Not a old tap, & it's not a tap head carrier spline ! Still try Luns, send them photo's, they are pretty good.
Just refit it so the grub screw on the tap head sits on the none spilt side, as you tighten it, it up it will close the split up.
Failing that, just fit this. http://www.plumbers-mate-sales.co.u...apter-with-square-head----62003635-3222-p.asp
It's not about 'pinching' it's about taking part, after 1st place there is no 2nd place or runner up.........only losers!
