just putting some cedar cladding on my house and fitting a new front door which is engineered oak. I need something to protect both? Just want a clear finish? Would it be better to give the cladding a few coats before fixing? It's tongue and groove, vertical fixed ? Thanks

We used to use seasonite on cedar decking, its supposed to prolong the natural colours of the cedar, or you could oil it
