It should say so on the bag. Concrete usually covers the volume of the agregate used. The cement holds it together.
A decent grade of concrete will have a cement content, by mass, of around 330kg/m3. Therefore on this basis a cubic metre of good quality concrete ought to contain 12 to 14 25kg bags of OPC.
Are those values/ calcs right? a stack of 12 to 14 bags is nearly 1m x 1m x 1m in it's self. Thats not including aggregate or sand? Am I missing something here cos thta don't sound right.
I recently laid just under a cubic metre of concrete and used 11 x 25Kg bags so that ties up with the figures you've been given.
andyboy No this was 25Kg bags of Portland Cement mixed with sandy ballast at a ratio of 4:1 ballast:cement. In other words, about 16 shovels of sandy ballast to each bag of cement.
