    Hi Guys,

Sorry, I'm back already to pick your brains?!

Can you tell me an alternative brand 20A MCB that I can get fitted on my radial circuit. I have a proper electrician who will do it. He says he has a 16A that will fit or it needs one bought from eBay. Is there another option I could just go and buy that will fit and be the right size?

I am feeling sickened and disgusted by what happened last night and can't get my head around how someone could be so sick. I am devastated for all the families involved.

What does the radial circuit feed Lou?

16 amp one would probably be ok, it all depends really what type of stuff you plug into the circuit - however the norm is 20 amp, and it might be best to stick with that tbqh.

What is wrong with the original 20 amp mcb?

No. Mixing and matching brands is prohibited.

That original is a 32Amp and it needs downgrading/upgrading.

Could/ should it be split to 2 radials with 16 amps instead?

Nice and chunky - anyway Lou good luck and the electricians will be able to help you no doubt. Have a good evening.

:) Great stuff, thanks! I'm so out of my depth! Just needed to be sure it would definitely be okay.

Ideally would be best to split the ring put 2x 16amp MCB but putting one in would be ok
