My dewalt radio charger won't charge my batt's anymore. Lights flash but no charge, radio ok. Anyone had similar problem or know a good fault finding forum????
Hi Spark I had a De-Walt charger and for some reason the internal fuse kept blowing when you fired it up on the mains, but would play the radio on batts no problem Took it apart to see any obvious signs but no. In the end slung the thing and bought the Makita instead which has an awesome note to it.. http://www.lawson-his.co.uk/scripts/products.php?cat=Cordless%20Radios#MAKITABMR100
Yeah. test battery for voltage. Anything 1.2v lower than nominated voltage means you have one dead cell at least. Normally fatal. Mr. HandyAndy - really
Dead charger....I have two Ryobis and one has gone bust. Try eBay to see if there are any replacements. Shame to replace the radio itself (I have one and it's a good bit of kit). http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DEWALT-12V-14-3V-BATTERY-CHARGER-NEWW0QQitemZ230140379614QQihZ013QQcategoryZ20794QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
