Hi, I have two cast iron enamelled baths, they are sound but the enamel at the bottom is dull and slightly rough. Can they
    be repolished by a DIYer,please

Is this the best forum, can't see baths anywhere

Any surface can be re-polished including plastic and fibreglass.

As I replied elsewhere, Jenolite is brilliant for removing stains etc, and T-cut will work on any material especially enamel, you are probably only removing surface scale anyway.

Tile restorer/cleaner will also improve the shine

T-cut. Takes a while but you will have like a new bath.

    Mr. HandyAndy - really

you can use t cut but it is oil based and hard to get off if it dries too much. if you go to an auto valetters they can supply you with a water based cutting paste ( one is called farecla (or something like that)). this water based and then will wash off. saves a lot of rubbing.
