Grouting query

    Hi
    I have a very small bit of mosaic splash back I stuck on yesterday with Stixall, this was a small job my tiler didn't do as the WHB wasn't fitted when he was here, so I said I'd deal with it.

    I have a bag of Mapei grout left over and don't really want to buy any tools for such a small one off task.

    Would you mix the grout and use a credit card to get the gaps filled or what?

    Any other tips gratefully received!

    Just use a scraper......and then damp sponge. (You do have a sponge don't you )

    Cheers ghost, have a sponge!

    Once you scrape the grout into place do you sponge straight away or leave it to go off a bit?

    Leave for about 10-15 mins. But just check after 5-10 mins......not sure how quick mapei goes off nowadays.

    Wipe diagonally too to prevent pulling it out the grout lines...at least until it's nicely firm :)

    Mapei does go off quick, would leave it max 10 mins before finishing.
