I wonder if anyone can advise me on what fixings are needed to fix a heavy mirror to a wall. The information with the mirror states that fixings should be made directly through the two hanging eyes on the back of the mirror and not to use a length of wire, cord etc. The wall is an outer brick wall with a plasterboard lining, i think that this is called dry lined. The fixings need to go through into the brick because of the weight of the mirror but i do not know what to use. Can anyone help? thanks Ken

Just exactly how heavy is this mirror? It can'be too heavy if it's held by 2 eyes. If it's dot & dabbed, then I would drill deep through into the brickwork, then use decent parallel plugs such as Fischers with long screws, or maybe use frame fixings.
